Ahhh, the mid-90's ... To be a teenager in Britain then meant school nights spent listening to Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley (before she went all sycophantic), with finger on pause ready to record of all kinds of lairy chancers, barging their way into the Top Ten with comical ease. When the music industry thought nothing of chucking a few million quid at Menswear for God's sake. How times have changed.

One thing that remains constant though, is the exuberant indie of Supergrass, erstwhile Britpoppers who stood the test of time thanks to a dedicated fanbase and, much more importantly, a bit of depth to their songwriting. 'In It For The Money' remains a hugely underrated album of the time, and one which should have been seen as a blueprint for how to have escape the Britpop mire when it all went to shit with TFI Friday.
