Meeting while members of an eight-piece folk act, Tim Digby-Bell and Toby Leeming discovered they had a shared interest in glitchy drum machines and snakey synthesiser noises. Thus, Duologue was born, an electro/acoustic two-piece, sounding like a slightly poppier cousin of Thom Yorke’s Eraser project. Digby-Bell’s voice isn’t a thousand miles from Yorkie’s either. Though a published poet, Digby-Bell doesn’t overload the songs with content, leaving plenty of room for Leeming to do his upbeat mournful electro thing.

Now that the pair have been championed by Steve Lamacq through his unsigned band contest on Radio 6, you’re probably going to be hearing a lot more of Duologue before long.
